Funnel Processes

This week I've been reading a great business book. I'm currently writing a book about something I'm passionate about and I brought the book to help me keep focus when writing my own. I'm glad to say it's done more than that. It helped that I read most of it relaxing on a spa day at Champneys, so sitting on a lounger by the pool absorbing the information without distractions was a definite bonus!

It got me thinking about if my business ready for me to write a book? I've known the book subject for a while now and I know I have enough content to write it but the business book talked about funnel processes and making sure everything is in place before releasing your book and that really made me look at my funnel process. I do have one but if I'm honest it wasn't as clear as it should be, I've always worked on generating leads through face to face meetings/networking and social media and not necessarily through an online system capturing emails. So I decided to relook at my processes and asked myself some key questions:

  • What Is my lead generator?
  • Am I following up with my audience and taking them through a funnel process?
  • What system am I using? what services am I offering?
  • What do I want to be known for?

By asking myself these questions honestly it has made my planning crystal clear. Yes it might have delayed the writing of my book by a few weeks but having these processes in place first is key to my business and to helping my clients understand what I offer. I've taken time over the Easter period to draw my funnel and re-evaluate my business and what it offers to clients and I'm now really happy with where it's heading.

I've spent the last couple of days writing my new FREE download '15 Productivity and Time Management Tips' and now I'm writing a 6 part E-course to follow on from that. I now have a new process to follow and services to fit all budgets with lots of new and exciting things, that I'm passionate about just around the corner.

What I really want to know though is:

  • Do you know your process? Do you even have one?
  • Do you have a lead generator that works well to attract customers?
  • Have you set goals to help you achieve what you want?
  • What do your customers know you for?
